Who are we?
Stella Louise Boutique was opened in January of 2013 by Christina Loftis Welch to offer the local area of Greer an affordable alternative to the "typical boutique". We strive to have an inviting, fun and comfortable atmosphere with bright, welcoming decor. Not only does Stella Louise have a wide range of styles in jewelry, clothing and accessories, we also carry our exclusive makeup line, Stella Louise Cosmetics and provide hair-styling, makeup application, and spray tan services.

The Background Behind "Stella Louise"
The stores name "Stella Louise" comes from the name of Christina's grandmother, Stella Louise. Stella
was who sparked a love for all things fashion and beauty in Christina.  As a young girl, some of
Christina's favorite memories with her Grandma include wearing bright red lipstick and  learning how to braid hair.  Christina also spent many of her days
as a child learning how to properly put in hair rollers (mostly on her Grandma, haha).

About The Owner
Christina Loftis Welch has had a passion for all things beauty starting at a very young age. As a competitive dancer, stage makeup and a sturdy hairstyle was a requirement and considered to be a part of the costume. Dancing; therefore hair and makeup, was a huge part of Christina's life from the time she started competing at the age of 7, and even after she stopped teaching dance at the age of 26. During her time as a student, she found herself helping other team members get ready for stage. When she began teaching her own dancers, she would hold classes to teach her students and their parents how to properly apply stage makeup and style their hair for stage. Since that time, she has held numerous makeup and hair classes for other local dance studios, as well as high school and college dance and cheer teams. Her true love for makeup began at the age of 17 when she entered her first Miss America Preliminary competition. At this time it was necessary to learn the techniques of "pageant makeup" since it is actually very different than stage makeup for dance competitions. This initial training was taught by Susan Grant and Elaine Finley from Merle Norman. In 2002, Christina began working at Merle Norman where she learned the ins and outs of makeup, skin care and proper sanitation. Later that year, she was crowned and took on the job of  representing her home town as Miss Simpsonville. During her time at Merle Norman, she was also blessed to hold the title of Miss Greater Greer 2004, and eventually decided to leave Merle Norman to best fulfill the duties required as Miss Greater Greer.  After such an amazing experience and education, Christina worked as a freelance makeup artist until working for Bobbi Brown two years later where she attended several classes in color correction, skin care and artistry. In her next venture, she was hired by Philosophy as a Skin Care Specialist where she educated consumers about the importance of proper skin care and how to achieve it. After her time with Philosophy, Christina was offered a unique position as the boutique manager and makeup artist for a salon in Tryon, NC. During this time Christina was afforded the opportunity to receive airbrush makeup certification from Temptu, and attend classes that focused on the causes of problem skin issues. She then became certified in airbrush (spray) tanning and began providing services to pageant contestants, brides, and anyone in need of a nice glow from an organic spray tan. The next endeavor was obtaining a license to allow her to style hair. Therefore, she is also licensed by the state of South Carolina as a Hair Braider (registration # 5312) in order to provide hair styling services to clients.
Christina has also had several other opportunities such as:
-Serving as Miss Poinsett Downtown and SC Watermelon Queen
-Teaching makeup &  sanitation to the cosmetology and aesthetics classes at Bonds Career Center
